The Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) has launched the second phase of the Ethiopia Strategic Investment Framework (ESIF II), a 15-year roadmap directed at improving agricultural productivity and land management. Launched last week, the framework seeks to shift the country from food security toward food sovereignty. State Minister for Natural Resources Eyasu Elias (prof) said the strategy is designed to address past policy gaps and modernise land tenure systems. The framework also functions as a long-term investment plan requiring a total of 25 billion dollars over 15 years. Eyasu said the Ministry will serve as the central coordinator, aligning efforts across sectors to support implementation.
