The Ethiopian Agricultural Business Corporation and Green Agro-Solution PLC (Lersha) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at improving access to finance and inputs for smallholder farmers. The partnership will use digital tools to support non-collateral loan access, expand mechanisation services, and improve input distribution by aggregating farmer demand. EABC will provide financing and mechanised solutions, while Lersha’s platform will enable farmers to access loans using their Fayda identification and land ownership proof. The initiative aims to reach one million farmers by 2030, promoting wider adoption of technology and improving agricultural productivity.
