HiLCoE, a school of computer science and technology, has fully switched to online classes as a precautionary measure against the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The School, with more than 15 years of experience in teaching, consulting and researching computer science and technology, started online courses in mid-March. It is now delivering the online classes for all of its undergraduate and graduate programmes. Along with online class sessions, emails and other communication channels are being used to deliver content to students, while course materials are still available offline in the form of recordings and digital and printed media. The school also plans to organise workshops and seminars to share its best practices on the delivery of e-learning. The government announced the temporary closure of schools in March as a precautionary move to prevent the potential spread of the virus.
