AIH Turns to Dividends, New Income for 5.5bn Br Goal

AIH Turns to Dividends, New Income for 5.5bn Br Goal

Abay Investment Holding (AIH) is targeting a net profit of 5.5 billion Br in the 2026/27 fiscal year by strengthening dividend collection and expanding its income sources. The target followed a meeting of the Board of Directors, which reviewed the company's 2025/26 annual report and approved its operational and budget plan for 2026/27. The report highlighted the consolidation of 46 subsidiaries under AIH, intended to strengthen leadership and management across its investment sectors. AIH also revitalised investments described as stagnant or challenged by identifying and addressing obstacles that had impeded implementation. The company increased its investment capacity, generated dividend income in the billions and established a financial base for future projects. Alongside the performance review, the Board adopted a corporate governance guideline covering responsibilities, rights, obligations, accountability, grievance management and competitive compensation for executives and board members. AIH also launched a subsidiary reform programme, supported by portfolio diagnostics, to improve management, finance and operations across its subsidiaries. The approved plan calls for implementing the governance framework and modern corporate finance systems to increase subsidiary revenues. It also prioritises stronger dividend collection, additional income streams and expansion projects for new and existing investments, which are expected to strengthen AIH's investment capacity and support the profit target.
