Private Sector to Join COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign

The private sector is gearing up to offer COVID-19 jabs to the general public, six months after the government kicked off its vaccination campaign. Medtech Ethiopia, a pharmaceutical importer and distributor in the industry for over two decades, and Washington Medical Centre are partnering to avail two million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. The duo have already received 200,000 doses last week, and are expecting the remaining 1.8 million in the near future. Almost three percent of the population in Ethiopia is vaccinated thus far.

UNDP Nods $2m for National Dialogue
