Parliament approved a loan agreement of 88.33 million dollars signed between the government of Ethiopia and the International Development Association (IDA). The IDA extended the loan for the development of industrial parks and employment generation schemes. The bill was approved last Thursday. The loan, which is interest-free, is payable in 38 years with six years of grace period. The agreement was voted in lieu of three against and three other abstention votes.
