The 53-year-old CEO is married and is a father of two daughters. He earned his first degree in economics and obtained a master's of business administration from Open University Business School in London. He has more than three decades of experience at public and private institutions, including at finance and trade bureaus in Amhara Regional State and Nyala Insurance, in addition to his 17 years of experience at Nile Insurance Company. He has been serving as CEO of Bunna Insurance for the past five years. He also served as a board chairperson of Abay Bank and board chairperson at the Health Development & Anti Malaria Association.

Which social media do you use most frequently?
Mostly LinkedIn and rarely Facebook, but now I am going to stop using Facebook at all due to the hate and negativity dominating the platform.
What bill surprised you the most? What was it for and what was the cost?
I was surprised when I first found out a kilogram of meat cost 480 Br.
How long do you spend on your phone?
Every day, I speak over the phone for about an hour.
Which foreign meal did you did not like after tasting it?
I did not like seafood, which I first tasted in Mombassa, Kenya

Lalibela and Axum
What is your biggest regret?
Not studying law, and I still want to if I have time
