Exports generated 1.28 billion dollars over the first four months of the fiscal year, according to the Ministry of Trade & Regional Administration. Agricultural items account for the bulk of the revenues, bringing in 904 million dollars. Coffee remains the most significant export commodity, making up around half this amount. Mining, mostly gold, accounted for 188 million dollars while manufactured products brought in close to 157 million dollars. Last year saw export revenues of close to 3.5 billion dollars, an all-time high. Coffee contribute over a quarter of the amount, while more than 600 million dollars worth of gold was shipped abroad.
