The export of commodities has generated 1.6 billion dollars in the first seven months of the current fiscal year. The revenue is 80pc of the target set by the Ministry of Trade & Industry. The income increased 11pc compared with what was registered in the same period last fiscal year. From the commodities, the export of flour, fruit, vegetables and khattook the lion’s share. The export of livestock and gold underachieved, however, according to the report. Even though the performance shows an increase, the intended result was not achieved due to unrest in some parts of the country, theft and other factors, the Ministry indicated.
