Ethio-telecom, the state telecom giant, pledged 40 million Br for the support of internally displaced people (IDPs) in the country. The donation was made to the National Disaster & Risk Management Commission and will be used for IDPs across the country. Employees of the company provided material support, according to a statement from the company. The company has also designated a four-digit number, ‘6020’, to be used for public fund mobilisation through a short message. Users can donate two Birr a message to the internally displaced people.
