The Council of Ministers approved a budget bill that allocates 386.9 billion Br for the coming fiscal year's federal budget, in today's session.
The bill that has been sent to parliament allocates 130.7 billion Br for capital expenditure, 109.5 billion Br for recurrent spending and 140.7 billion Br for regional block grants. The remaining six billion Birr is allocated for projects under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
The proposed budget for the coming fiscal year is 11.5pc and 20.6pc higher than the current fiscal year and the preceding year's budget, respectively.
