The Food & Drug Authority (FDA) concluded the dispute that has lasted two years with Saudi businessman Awujan Rani, a mango juice manufacturer. The product, Rani Mango’s import was suspended on July 30, 2018, which ignited a dispute following a significant colour change exhibited by one of the imported batches. To settle grievances submitted by the manufacturer, a technical committee of seven professionals has been working on it, including a visit to the factories in Saudi Arabia and Dubai. During a press conference held last week at the premises of the Authority, the committee confirmed that there is no need to suspend the one-litre Rani product from the market as there were no quality and safety problems found.
