ALL-FEMALE BRANCH

Ergoge Tesfaye (right), minister of Labor & Social Affairs, and Melik Bedri, CEO of ZamZam Bank, inaugurate an all-female branch in Mekanissa on March 17, 2022. Dubbed ‘Hajera,’ the branch is meant to showcase the interest-free bank’s dedication to gender inclusivity and equality. Currently, its female representation in the workforce is at 33pc but ZamZam says that it will work to improve this.
