Exports will generate 3.7 billion dollars this Ethiopian fiscal year, according to the Ministry of Trade & Industry. Exports of agricultural commodities are expected to generate 80pc of the revenue. The Ministry also set a target of securing 779 million dollars in revenue from manufacturing and 261 million dollars from mining. In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, exports generated 723 million dollars. In order to attain its target for the year, the Ministry has undertaken reforms and drafted a 10-year master plan to address the bottlenecks in the sector.
