Avocado Oil Factory Puts Down Roots in Ethiopia

Oct 5 , 2019

Sunvado Organic Avocado Oil opened a plant in Ethiopia to process premium organic avocado oil. The factory has completed its first test runs and is now ramping up its organic avocado oil production, according to Ayalkibet Bekele, product manager for the factory. The products should be ready for export in the coming weeks, and the company will be able to bring organic virgin avocado oil and organic refined avocado oil to the market by the end of the year, according to the production manager. Founded in 2018, Sunvado provides access to the export market to local avocado farmers. The farmers used the avocado trees to provide shade for their coffee, for their consumption or sold it on the local market at meagre prices.
