Ethiopian Launches In-Flight Wi-Fi Service

Ethiopian Airlines Group has launched in-flight Wi-Fi services on its Airbus A350. Passengers flying on these aircraft can now have in-flight connectivity using smart phones, tablets and laptops. “We’re glad to introduce in-flight internet connectivity with the latest broadband satellite technology, Ka-band, offering our passengers seamless digital experience as they fly Ethiopian,” said Tewolde GebreMariam, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group. Passengers can access the in-flight connectivity service by purchasing vouchers at Ethiopian Airlines sales outlets including at Addis Abeba International Airport’s customer service desk, boarding gate or from the cabin crew. Online sales through credit or debit cards and Sheba Miles are also additional options for passengers to enjoy the service. While initially launching the service on Airbus A350 airplanes, the company has plans to expand the service to other airplane models deployed on long flights.
