Ethiopian Insurance Corporation reported a 48pc rise in premium income over the past six months, collecting more than 13.8 billion Br in the first half of the fiscal year. The performance review, held last week, showed gains linked to ongoing operational reforms. The corporation increased premium collections by half a billion birr during the period, exceeding the total growth recorded over the entire previous fiscal year. Chief Executive Officer Abel Tadesse credited customers, employees and industry partners for the results, describing the performance as a notable achievement for the corporation.
