Germany has expanded its backing for UNDP’s Peace Support Facility (PSF) with an extra five million euros, reaffirming its partnership with Ethiopia’s recovery efforts. The signing took place at the German Embassy last week, led by Ferdinand von Weyhe(MD), Chargé d’Affaires, and UNDP Ethiopia Resident Representative Samuel Gbaydee Doe. The new financing lifts Germany’s total contribution to 19.15 million euros. Von Weyhe(MD) stressed the value of rebuilding conflict-hit regions through stronger local governance, basic services, and economic revival, noting the PSF’s role in restoring community trust and supporting a return to normal life.
