The response from the international community in addressing humanitarian crises in Ethiopia remains inadequate both in scale and quality, the UN warns.
There are no less than 8.3 million people in urgent need for emergency assistance, of whom close to one third are internally displaced largely due to inter communal conflicts.
The national humanitarian emergency assessment projects a 1.3 billion dollars cost to provide critical support to those exposed where 333 million dollars is urgently needed for the coming three months.
The UN calls for the Ethiopian authorities to "seek durable solutions, including the return, reintegration and relocations" of those victimized by violence and run away from home.
