Landmarks such as the 90-year-old establishment Lombardia Restaurant around the Mexico area were torn down last week. The demolition campaign spearheaded by the City Administration resulted in fatal injuries which fueled public discontent. Officials suggested a six-point system is used to determine whether a property qualifies as a heritage after an evaluation by the Authority for Research & Conservation of Cultural Heritage.
