A significant reshuffle within Ethiopia's Public media sector saw the appointment of Getenet Tadesse as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC), following a unanimous approval by federal legislators. His position as chief of the Ethiopian Press Agency has been helmed by Mesafint Tefera. Getnet, an alumnus of Bahir Dar University with an undergraduate degree in journalism and a postgraduate degree from Addis Abeba University in the same field, also studied history.
