Petroleum Company Unveils a 73m Br Service Outlet

TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia relaunched one of its service outlets with a 73 million Br investment that focused on safety equipment, including leak detectors and alarms. As a result, the station has raised its storage capacity by 150 and enhanced its service to accommodate up to 10 vehicles. According to Christophe Ferron, managing director, an electric vehicle charging station will be available, as they aim to contribute to the renewable resource transition and the reduction of carbon emissions by 2050. Jean-Phillipe Torres, senior vice president of TotalEnergies Africa, disclosed the company plans to invest more than five billion dollars worldwide in renewable energy development this year. It has invested two billion dollars for the development of renewable energies in 2021, and three billion dollars in 2022. The ceremony on Africa Avenue (Bole Road) last week saw the attendance of senior management such as Olivier Van Parys, executive vice president -Mediterranean & Indian Ocean and French Ambassador Remi Marechaux. TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia, established in 1950, is a petroleum product distribution company. It acquired Mobil Oil East Africa assets in 2006 and now operates 142 service stations and four depots with 105,000 employees nationwide.
