Youth draped in colourful embroidery marched the streets of the Arat Kilo area during Patriots' Day celebrations. The day commemorates the victory of Ethiopians over Italian forces for the second time as well as the return of Emperor Haileselassie in 1941. Eritrea was also liberated from the Italians after sixty years of occupation to fall under the protectorate of the British for a decade.
