Ethiopian Commodity Exchange Lures New Board of Directors

New board members were assigned to the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) last week, making Kassahun Gofe, state minister for the Ministry of Trade & Regional Integration (MoTRI) the board chairman replacing Yinager Dessie, former governor of the central bank. The other newly appointed board members include Sofia Kassa, state minister of Agriculture, Adugna Debela, director general of Ethiopian Coffee & Tea Authority; Solomon Desta, vice governor of the central bank; Dereje Gufa, deputy president of Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and Nuredin Mohammed, director of projects at MoTRI.
