Ministry Collects Over 138b Br Tax Revenues

Over 138.81 billion Br tax revenue has been collected in the past six months, announces the Ministry of Revenues. According to Meseret Meskele, state minister for tax operations under the Ministry, the plan was exceeded by over a billion Birr due to improved performances concerning debt performances and tax calculations. Birara Letgeb, tax debt administration director mentioned the Ministry had managed to collect 26.65 billion Br from tax debt in the first half of this fiscal year, exceeding the plan by 148pc. After the half-year report, participants in a meeting stressed that changes need to be made to the e-tax system performance, urging the Ministry to give emphasis on the performance elevation.
