Health Ministry to Undertake Third COVID-19 Jab Campaign

Officials at the Ministry of Health say they have finalised preparations for a third round of COVID-19 vaccinations. Health professionals have administered close to 30 million doses of COVID-19 jabs since the Ministry first launched a vaccination campaign last April. However, the vaccination drive has been at a standstill over the past few months. Ministry officials also warned last week that they are observing a rise in the number of patients admitted to ICUs due to COVID-19 has been on the rise in recent week, and urged the public to continue practicing social distancing and wearing face coverings. A total 477,000 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the country since March 2020. The pandemic has taken the lives of 7,516 people.
