Yegna Home Rolls Out Accommodation Booking Platforms

Yegna Home, a digital hospitality service provider, has introduced a website, an unstructured supplementary service data (USSD) service, and a mobile booking solution enabling tourists and domestic users to reserve accommodations at hotels, apartments, guesthouses and resorts. The company has also signed a deal with Ethiopian Airlines to integrate its platform with the national carrier's Sheba Miles customer loyalty programme. Incorporated in 2021 with five million Birr in equity raised from two shareholders – Melaku Tekola and Yohannes Tedla – Yegna Home offers booking services for 220 hotels on its digital platform. Addis Software, an IT firm that works in collaboration with a company based in Sweden, developed and supplied Yegna Home's digital platform.

Gold Prices Ease After Recent Surge

The price of gold, which surged sharply in recent weeks, has started to decline in the current selling market. Over the past 15 days, 21-carat gold has traded between 24,000 and 25,000 Br per gram for imported products and around 21,000 Br for local gold.
