Yonsei, Health Ministry to Launch $1.7m Project

Yonsei Global Health Centre, a South Korean public health institute, and the Ministry of Health have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to kick off a 1.7 million dollar project aimed at improving awareness on reproductive health and gender equality. The project will be implemented across six regional states and the Addis Abeba and Dire Dawa city administrations with funding support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). It is a component of a larger, 12 million dollar project funded by KOICA and the United Nations Population Fund. Project managers ultimately target to decrease the total fertility rate and maternal mortality in Ethiopia.
