Ethiopian Airlines Extends Liege Cargo Agreement

Ethiopian Airlines has extended its agreement with Belgium's Liege Airport for the coming five years. The extension will make Ethiopian Airlines a cargo gateway between Europe and Africa until 2026. Since the airline started flying to the Liege airport 15 years ago, it has transported one million tonnes of cargo with 15,000 freighter flights. According to a report from the African Airlines Association’s (AFRAA), Ethiopian has been ranked as the largest African operator in passenger and cargo traffic in 2020. Ethiopian carried half a million tonnes of freight and over five million passengers through its main hub, Bole International Airport, in 2020. Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services provides airport-to-airport services by stretching its wings to 127 cargo and passenger destinations across five continents.
