Camash-Koncho Road Project Construction Kicks Off

The construction of a 160Km road that links the Oromia and Benishangul-Gumuz regional states, Camash-Koncho asphalt concrete road, has kicked off. Projected to cost 4.2 billion Br fully covered by the Ethiopian government, the project is being carried out by Gemshu Beyene Construction Plc and will be controlled and consulted by the Ethiopian Construction Design & Supervision Works Corporation. It is expected to be completed in three years' time. During the construction launch ceremony in Neqemte attended by Shimelis Abdisa, president of Oromia Regional State, and other senior government officials, it was noted that the road is expected to bolster the coffee industry as it passes through many areas where the crop is grown in large quantities.

National Electricity Network Set for Upgrade

Ethiopia Electric Utility (EEU) plans to expand the national electricity grid by 8,689 km in the 2026 fiscal year, Yohannes Tonja, head of Performance Monitoring and Evaluation, said.
