City Chamber Provides Food for People In Need

The Addis Abeba Chamber of Commerce & Sectoral Association has provided support to 150 vulnerable people whose lives have been affected by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Chamber, which has been responding to the pandemic in collaboration with other partners, has presented the support as part of its meal sharing initiative. The support came in the form of food and food items worth 150,000 Br to residents of Shiromeda whose livelihoods have been impacted by the pandemic. The Chamber also plans to extend similar support to residents living in Arada and Lideta districts. Part of its plan also includes assisting potters in developing their craft through sustainable and modernised methods, according to the Chamber's President Mesenbet Shenkute, who visted Ensera, a pottery centre along with the Chamber's board of directors.
