Lead Plus Management Consultancy & Training Center has started providing online consulting services for businesses and investors free of charge as a way of mitigating the impacts of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The company, established three years ago, provides services like corporate accounting and outsourcing, human resource consulting and tax advice, and now consults businesses interested in various ventures by creating a road map and providing relevant information for free. The company aims to increase the ease of doing business in Ethiopia by availing a compiled set of laws and regulations and minimising office visits for its clientele. Lead Plus has designated five professionals with the experience to respond to queries and give guidance to its clients. While these services are free, it plans on strengthening its client base and making the website a hub of information, drawing international clients as a source of revenue through advertisements. Ethiopia was ranked at 159 out of 190 countries in the ease of doing business by a 2020 World Bank report. The report states that it takes nearly six times longer on average to start a business in the economies ranked in the bottom 50 than it does in the top 20.
