Technology College Sets Foot in Addis

A new 12-million-Br post-graduate college, established in collaboration with the US-based Maharishi University of Management, was inaugurated on January 24, 2019. The American College of Technology (ACT) will give courses related to business administration and computer science at its campus in Arat Kilo. The college also plans to give short courses on cybersecurity, data science and cloud computing, because it sees a big gap in the education market and plans to capitalise on this opportunity, according to Asmamaw Atnafu (PhD), president of the college. “We are in talks with five banks for us to provide short courses to their employees,” explained Asmamaw.
