For the first time in 15 years, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted parliamentarians with a traditional "Namaste" before addressing the assembly, which included ministers, standing committees, and non-parliamentary officials. In a room vibrant with cultural attire, Modi pledged support for Ethiopia’s digital transformation and agricultural mechanisation. He noted that the countries’ shared cultural and economic backgrounds have led to similar strategic approaches. Citing India’s fully digital government services, Modi suggested Ethiopia could adopt a similar model alongside mechanized agriculture.
