TAF Inaugurates Aviation Depot

TAF Oil Plc has inaugurated a semi-automatic, jet-A1 fuel storage depot and filling facility. The depot was built for 380 million Br in the compound of Ethiopian Airlines on January 28, 2020. The depot has a capacity of storing six million litres. It can fill up to 30 trucks while unloading fuel in a short period of time. This is equivalent to 1,128 cubic metres a day, nearly 37.5pc of Ethiopian Airline's daily consumption. It took over two years to complete the construction of the depot, according to Tinsae Aklilu, president of TAF Oil Ethiopia. TAF Oil Plc, one of 28 oil retail companies, joined the Ethiopian Oil Companies Association as a fifth member on May 6, 2019. The company, which entered the market in 2011, operates 72 service stations with 30 more in the pipeline.
