Ten international pharmaceutical companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding to lease sheds in Qilinto Industrial Park, which is designed to be a pharmaceutical and medicine production hub. Resting on 337ha of land, the Park is also targeted for companies that engage with agro-processing, production of electric and electronic products and wood and furniture. Qilinto Industrial Park is among the 11 industrial parks that are under construction by the government for an estimated cost of 30 billion Br in investment.
