Abebe Abebayehu, head of the Ethiopian Investment Commission, told AP, following a report by the New York University Stern Centre for Business & Human Rights that said Ethiopian garment factory workers, on average, are the lowest paid in the world at 26 dollars a month. Abebe said that the factories also provided services, such as meals.
