Commercial banks have employed various ways of responding to the threat of COVID-19 caused by the larger number of people that visit any branch office a day. Many implore their clients to wash their hands before they enter and enforce at least a metre-long distance from the tellers. The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), which has the largest number of clients of any bank, is mainly making people wait in line outside of the branch offices until they are let in in parties of two or three.
