The International Labour Organisation launched a new mobile application called SIRA, which aims to support returnees from external migration search for jobs. The application is in the fourth phase of reintegration for the returnees economic intervention, socio-cultural integration and access to psychological services. The reintegration of returnees has been running in Ethiopia for the past four years. The app will link returnees and employers in the low and middle skills occupation such as hospitality, agriculture and manufacturing, according to Aida Awel, the chief technical advisor at ILO country office. The job matching platform will also be made available through a web-based portal and a call centre. The application will also feature jobs for non-returnees and developed in a friendly manner.
