Ethiopia Formulates Entrepreneurship Strategy

The Ministry of Trade & Industry, with the support of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), has formulated a National Entrepreneurship Strategy. The Strategy aims to design a coherent and consistent approach to promote entrepreneurship, especially in the context of an inclusive and sustainable industrial development. The strategy took international good practices provided by the United Nations Conference on Trade & Investment (UNCTAD) into account. UNIDO, in the implementation of the strategy, is partnering with the Ministry, the Federal Small & Medium Manufacturing Industry Promotion Authority and other stakeholders with funding sourced from Australia, Canada and Italy.
