Ethio Lease Designates Fregenet Getachew as Acting CEO

Ethio Lease, the country's first privately-owned equipment leasing company, has a new acting CEO, Fregenet Getachew. She will replace former CEO Girum Tsegaye, who left the company to return to the banking industry, where he had previously served as vice president of operations for Hibret Bank. Fregenet joins Ethio Lease with two decades of experience working in multinational pharmaceuticals and NGOs. Ethio Lease is a subsidiary of Africa Asset Finance Company Inc., which provides leasing and asset-based lending to businesses across Africa. It is the first private and foreign-owned equipment leasing company in the country to be licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia.
