Enterprise Receives Reach-Stackers

The Ethiopian Shipping & Logistics Services Enterprise received 13 reach-stackers ordered for five million Euros. Supplied by Konecranes Lift Trucks, a Swedish manufacturer and supplier, the reach-stackers have a capacity of lifting 45tn of goods each. Out of the total, ten will be allotted for Modjo Dry Port, while the remaining will be designated to Qality, Dire Dewa and Kombolcha Dry Ports. The majority will go to Modjo as it is the busiest dry port, according to Ashebir Nota, team leader of promotion & events organization at the Enterprise. Modjo Dry Port has been operating with four reach-stackers. “The new reach-stackers will increase the flow of goods by 200Pc,” said Dereje Mideksa, director of Modjo Dry Port.
