A construction site is a hazardous work area unless proper saftey procedures are followed. For a city some call a big construction site, Addis Abeba seems like a city that has never heard of saftey codes. Of course, it is in the books but hardly followed in practice. This building under construction around Brass area in Bole should have been covered so debris may not fall on people. But it is not. The pedestrians feeling unsafe walking too close to the site are forced to walk in the car lanes trying to avoid one hazard only to be vulnerable to another.
