A fence around the Fel Wuha area put by authorities shuts off several businesses from the main road. The area is famous for its natural hot springs powered by geothermal energy. Despite being endowed with abundant options for renewable energy Ethiopia has a largely undeveloped energy sector with the estimated exploitable potential for geothermal standing at five gigawatts, hydropower at 45GW, the wind at 10GW and solar irradiation ranging from 4.5 to 7.5KW/H/M a day.
