Alemayehu Tefera, 62 and a father of three, earned his first degree in economics from Addis Abeba University (AAU) in 1992 and has four decades of experience in the insurance industry. He began his insurance career at Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC), making his way over 35 years from the clerk to the Corporation's operation managing director. He has been heading Berhan Insurance for the past four years.
