The Higher Education Relevance & Quality Agency has ordered Western College Addis Abeba to shut down all of its departments, terminate freshman students' credit hours, and transfer its senior students to accredited higher education institutions for allegedly violating regulations. The College has been registering students without renewing its license since its expired last year, according to the Agency. The College was obligated to deposit half a million Br in a closed account to renew its license but failed to do so. Furthermore, the College has been registering students in fields it has no accreditation for. It will be allowed to reopen once it fulfills requirements.
