Used Vehicles Generate 9m Br

The Public Procurement & Property Disposal Service generated nine million Birr from the disposal of 21 used vehicles. For the sale of the used vehicles, which were collected from 10 federal institutions, a tender was floated on January 11, 2020. The tender was floated for the disposal of 30 used vehicles from 15 institutions. The vehicles drew the attention of a total of 369 bidders, which bought the bid documents. Of these, 105 have submitted the bid document for the tender that lasted for 19 consecutive days. In the first round and second round, 24 and six vehicles were availed for sale, respectively. Out of the bidders that submitted bid documents, 96 of them reached the financial evaluation level. Nine were disqualified during the technical evaluation stage. In the first half of this fiscal year, the Service generated 32.7 million Br from the disposal of vehicles, scrap metals and different outdated items.
