Ministry Launches new Strategic Plan on Utilisation of Digital Information

A five-year strategic plan has been launched by the government to improve the use of digital information solutions in the country’s health service. The strategic plan was launched by USAID and the Ministry of Health and will require an investment of 63 million dollars. The new plan is aimed at improving doctors', nurses', health extension workers' and policymakers' abilities to utilise technology more effectively and enable them to better serve patients and families across the country. The Digital Health Activity will also create opportunities for entrepreneurs and youth-led tech organizations to take advantage of their expertise in providing support to health centres, according to the Ministry. The Ministry is currently working to collaborate with partners on the utilisation of drone technology to transport medical supplies in rural areas.
