Awash Wine S.C. has announced it’s newest wine cocktail named Dankira. Dankira, which is available in strawberry margarita and peach vodka flavours, is a wine cocktail with 6pc alcohol made from a blend of wine and natural fruit flavours. “We came up with Dankira, taking into account the request of our customers for a smooth product with less alcohol,” said Berhan Mengistu, brand and innovation manager of the company. According to Berhan, Dankira is available in 330ml bottles and is distributed in selected restaurants and hotels across Addis Abeba costing up to 30 Br. According to a statement issued by the company, the launch of Dankira was possible because of the investment made by Awash S.C. in a new state-of-the-art production facility located in Addis Abeba. The company has invested two million dollars to expand the project, which triples the annual capacity of the winery.
