Bottlers Association Gets New Executives

Ethiopian Bottled Water, Soft drink, Fruit & Vegetable Processing Manufacturing Industries Association in its general assembly on August 1, 2019, elected Getenet Belay, manager of Aqua Addis bottled water as its board president. Getenet, before founding Aqua Addis, served at Ethiopian Airlines as manager of the engineering and planning department, as well as director of the capacity development planning department for 15 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Addis Abeba University and got his Master of Business Administration degree from Lincoln University, USA. The Association also elected Berhane Gebreselassie, founder and general manager of Cado Industry Fruit & Vegetable Processor Company as the chairperson. The Association was formed in February 2019 with the merging of two associations, one representing bottled waters and soft drinks manufacturers, and the other fruits and vegetable processors.
